Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ might cross the Rs. 150 crore mark today
Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is turning out to be a huge commercial success, earning a whopping Rs. 143.39 crore in India in just five days. The Sooraj Barjatya directorial family drama has already collected Rs.250 crore gross worldwide.
The movie got off to a good start this Diwali by earning Rs. 40.35 cr on the first day (Thurday) itself, on the second day (Friday) it earned Rs. 31.05 cr, third day (Saturday) it made Rs. 30.07 cr, fourth day (Sunday) – Rs. 28.30 cr and fifth day (Monday) – Rs. 13.62 cr which makes a total of Rs. 149.39 cr in mere five days.
The figures in the US are $ 2.8 million, said to be highest opening weekend for a Salman Khan film; in Britain are $1.42 million; Middle East are $ 2.3 million, Australia are $ 448, 711, New Zealand are $ 170,454 and Pakistan are $ 486,877.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, which has Sonam Kapoor in the lead along with Salman, entered the coveted Rs. 100 crore club in three days of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the numbers and wrote that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo might cross Rs 150 cr mark by Wednesday.
